Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
This is one of my favorite
verses because it has more than one promise. Those who have hope and faith in
the Lord will have new strength. Do you ever feel like you just can’t go on?
Whether that feeling is emotional or physical, God will renew you. You can go on farther with more energy
because you rely on Him. He loves us
with more love than we can imagine and He wants us to go to Him with our needs, no matter what the need is. So, when we are facing times that just seem to suck the life from us we can, and should, go to Him.
When we ask for His help, and do things in His
power rather than our own, our batteries will always be charged enough to do what
needs to be done. We can go on and on without wearing out.
Friend, I am asking you
today to put your hope in Jesus Christ! He will sustain you and he will strengthen
you, giving you what you need each day. But much more importantly than that, He alone can give you eternal life in
His presence.
