Does all that is going on in the world have you wondering about the future?
It does me. I do wonder how many more of our rights we'll lose. I wonder if this is the time Israel will finally be safe. I wonder how much longer we'll be totally free to worship God. There are many other things I wonder about.
But there is one thing I don't have to worry about, one thing that I am very confident of - my own future.
I have a future in heaven, a future of eternity in the presence of Jesus, the one who gave his life for me so that I wouldn't have to die for my own sins. I know that the very second my eyes close in death to this life, that they will open in the presence of Jesus. Or, if the rapture happens during my lifetime, I know that I'll go to heaven without experiencing physical death and that I get to spend eternity worshipping God in heaven. I know that because I acknowledge Jesus as son of God and my personal Saviour.
You can know your future too. We will all live forever - where depends on whether or not we believe in Jesus for who he is. God has a deep love for each and every one of us. He has unimaginable blessings in store for those of us who belong to him. And what he wants for us more than anything is to believe in his son, Jesus Christ. Jesus is a gift that we can accept - or not. God doesn't force us to love him; God gave us free will. While we have the ability to choose, we need to remember that eternity is at stake in that choice. God loves you enough to let you make that choice. Choose wisely. Your future - heaven or hell - depends on it.
